The design process begins with a consultation with a member of our team. We take this time to analyze your goals for the property and to properly evaluate the design objectives. We work with you to start the process of a cohesive plan with your vision as our end goal.

The next step is to visit your property for analysis and survey to better understand the sites potential, existing conditions, and possible limitations. We take this time to fully understand your space and to evaluate views, sun exposure, drainage implications, and environmental conditions.

The conceptual development is the next step in the process. We further develop our mutually agreed upon plan by assessing the project goals, budget, and timeline. At this stage we will begin to hone in on project objectives and details. We will refine alternative solutions to align with original ideas. Any remaining challenges we will work with our network of industry professionals to trouble shoot and try to resolve. Ultimately we have the information we need to create a full master plan and move forward, reviewing cost, materials, and timeline.

Upon clients’ and Concord Design’s approval of the preliminary plan presented at the development stage, the process moves toward implementation. A comprehensive overall design is finalized, which includes detailed specifications for all components of the project including plant schedules, hardscape, landscape lighting, irrigation, and other details. Decisions are made with the client to finalize the project contract, timeline, material, and budget.
